Zip lock bags
Reclosable plastic bags with a press-to-close zip, also known as zipper bags, magic seal bags or resealable bags. Made from 100% virgin LDPE / LLDPE in our own factories.
Coloured zip lock bags
Same construction as clear bags, made opaque in a colour so the contents cannot be seen. Used for chemical samples and branded packaging.

Write-on panel zip lock bags
A white panel on the bag takes an ordinary pen, so each bag can be labelled by hand. Common in hospitals, dispensaries and laboratories, and for seed or chemical samples.

Hang hole zip lock bags
A punched hole above the zip lets the bag hang on retail pegs and showroom walls while keeping the product dust-free.

Tamper-proof zip lock bags
Also called open-bottom or pilfer-proof bags. The top is sealed above the zip with a tear notch; you fill from the open bottom and heat-seal it. The customer tears the top to open, then uses the zip to reclose.

Zip lock bag questions
What sizes of zip lock bags do you make?
Widths from 1.25 inches to 14 inches and heights from 1.5 inches to 16 inches. Size is always quoted as width x height, including the zip, for example 2" x 3".
What thickness are the bags?
From 50 micron (200 gauge) and above. For reference, 1 micron is a thousandth of a millimetre; 160 gauge is about 40 micron and 200 gauge is about 50 micron.
Are prices per 100 or per 1,000 bags?
Prices are per 1,000 bags, packed as 10 packets of 100 bags each.
How are the bags packed?
100 bags in a printed polythene packet; several packets go into an HDPE bag. Special packing is charged extra.
Do you keep ready stock?
Yes. Most standard sizes are in ready stock for immediate dispatch. Printed, coloured and custom sizes are made to order.
Are zip lock bags the same as zipper bags or magic seal bags?
Yes. Zip lock bags are also called zipper bags, magic seal bags, reclosable bags or resealable bags. Brand names such as Ziploc, Minigrip and Magic Seal belong to their owners; Nifty sells under its own name.
Are the bags leak-proof?
No. They are not recommended for liquids, as they can occasionally leak.
Are the bags made from recycled plastic?
No. All our bags are made from 100% virgin plastic granules.
